As of Oct. 28/05 all new units shipped have the added capability to use SSI/ AEM pressure transducers in place of the standard GM MAP sensors. Due to the relatively poor resolution of these sensors, they are recommended only for high boost race applications.
These sensors may be ordered directly from Summit Racingwww.summitracing.com.
For the 36 psi version, order PN AEM 30-2130-50
For the 60 psi version, order PN AEM 30-2130-75
These sensors use a 1/8 NPT male thread pressure connection. You will have to make a connection to the SDS MAP sensor cable. Wire colors are the same.
We recommend that the mapping be changed as described below for the two different sensors:
