Black face meter stocked, white face special order
The PLX wideband O2 kit is a compact digital instrument capable of accurately measuring air/fuel ratios from 10 to 20 to 1, allowing you to monitor your engine and tune for optimal power and reliability. You can also datalog air/fuel ratio directly into your SDS ECU and programmer with a one wire connection. The Bosch LSU 4.2 sensor and wiring harnesses are all included in the kit.
System Features
* 2 1/16 round display head makes for easier panel mounting
*10 foot O2 sensor harness
*Included serial cable for external data loggers
*0-5 volt output works with most aftermarket fuel injection systems or dataloggers, 0-1 volt signal for OEM computers, emulates the stock narrow band O2 sensor. This allows you to remove the stock O2 sensor and replace with the wideband sensor for easy installation.
Typical Hookup
We configure the PLX wiring for easy hookup by pre-installing the recommended filter capacitor, crimping the pin on the grey output wire and installing on the 4 pin connector. All you have to do is plug in the striped white and black wire from the DM-5 LED display. The solid black wire is not connected to the 4 pin plug.

Bosch technical information states the useful service life of the sensor is 100,000 miles or 10 years. Leaded fuel is not recommended with any O2 sensor and will severely shorten the life of the sensor, lead content of .6 g/l drops life to around 10,000 miles. In real world use, it appears that sensor life is more in the range of 50,000 miles with unleaded fuel.
